William S. Bon has been a member of the Wyoming State Bar for over 60 years, and is the longest standing member of the firm. Mr. Bon was born in Casper, Wyoming, but went to the University of New Mexico and the New Mexico Military Institute in the 1940's. Mr. Bon served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Junior Grade from 1943 to 1946. After his military service, he came back to Wyoming and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming, and was admitted into the Wyoming State Bar in 1949. After graduating law school, Mr. Bon spent two years with Hawkeye Securities Insurance Company, and later spent two years as a Municipal Judge in the 1960's.
William Bon has had many memberships and affiliations in his 60 plus years as an attorney. From 1986 to 1987, Mr. Bon served as the president of the Wyoming State Bar, and was president of the Bar Foundation from 1986 to 1993. Other past presidencies include his time as president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis club. He was also a part of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and was the state Chairman from 1992 to 1993. Some of Mr. Bon's other past memberships include the International Society of Barristers, the International Association of Defense Counsel, and Charter membership of DLAW.
Mr. Bon still works to keep active in the community as well. He is currently a member of the Board of directors of the National Historic Trials Foundation, and St. Mark's Episcopal Church Foundation. He has been married to his wife, Ruth, for 57 years, and the two have had 5 children and a multitude of grandchildren that they both love dearly.
